MAGIC HOUR

As evening falls, a musical note is struck, and Magic Hour at the Dream Sphere begins.

Located in the Dream Forest, Magic Hour is a captivating light-art installation and musical piece where fields of patterns and colours bring the Dream Forest to life. The show weaves together intricate and colourful paper-cut artworks by Fern Wong, a self-taught Singaporean visual artist with Down syndrome who has won local and international awards. 

In collaboration with Singapore-based creative studio Magicfruit, a curated collection of Fern’s artworks are encased in clear orbs and nestled gently amongst the Dream Forest’s lush foliage. When Magic Hour falls, the orbs are illuminated to the rhythm of acclaimed Singaporean composer Avik Chari’s melodies, with lighting designed by Michael Chan from Lighting Insomnia in partnership with Auxilio Studio.

Magic Hour is a daily show that runs for approximately 3 minutes, and occurs 3 times every evening.
