Jerrold Chong

Jerrold Chong is an award-winning animation filmmaker and director. He was awarded the Young Artist Award by the National Arts Council (NAC) in 2022 and is co-founder of local animation studio, Finding Pictures. His films have screened in numerous international festivals including Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, Busan International Film Festival, Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) and more. He also co-directed Singapore’s National Day 2021’s animated music video “The Road Ahead”.

Mark Wee is an acclaimed animation filmmaker and producer. His film and series productions have gone on to screen at and win accolades at film festivals and competitions such as Annecy International Animation Film Festival, and the Asian Academy Creative Awards. He is also the co-founder of Finding Pictures, an award-winning Singaporean animation studio. The studio focuses on developing original media content, including animation series and feature films, as well as providing creative and production-based animation services.

Producer's Statement

Inspired by the painter Paul Klee’s quote, “A line is a dot that went for a walk”, the multimedia animation depicts the visual evolution of the Dream Sphere, creating impressions, characters and worlds that ll our shared canvas. Through diverse animation styles, we bring audiences on a vivid, larger-than-life journey brimming with wonder, vibrancy and heart. We hope that our animations will make your walk through the Singapore Pavilion one to remember.

The Finding Pictures team is excited to share our animated vision of Singapore with all Expo 2025 guests, in the Dream Sphere. Through lively and colorful animation, we invite you to join in our playful interpretations of a dream future, showcasing Singapore’s ecological efforts and humanist solutions, as we unite with the world against the challenges to come.
