Singapore’s Future Communications R&D Programme (FCP) and 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) Singapore-Japan Demonstration
FCP is hosted by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) to support cutting-edge communications and connectivity research. At Expo 2025, Osaka, some of FCP’s latest works will be presented.
SUTD, in collaboration with SKY Perfect JSAT, TMYTEK, Rohde & Schwarz, and VIAVI, is developing a groundbreaking 5G NTN live demonstration for this event. The first-ever live 5G transmission from Singapore to Japan based on the configuration of a JSAT GEO satellite will be featured, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in connectivity and innovation.
