Singapore’s Future Communications R&D Programme (FCP) and 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) Singapore-Japan Demonstration

FCP is hosted by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) to support cutting-edge communications and connectivity research. At Expo 2025, Osaka, some of FCP’s latest works will be presented.

SUTD, in collaboration with SKY Perfect JSAT, TMYTEK, Rohde & Schwarz, and VIAVI, has developed a groundbreaking 5G NTN live demonstration for this event. The first-ever live 5G transmission from Singapore to Japan via a JSAT GEO satellite will be featured, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in connectivity and innovation.

Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS): Building Resilience in a Changing Climate

The session will explore cutting-edge research and innovative solutions addressing the impacts of climate change. Featuring a keynote and an engaging panel discussion, the event will highlight both mitigation and adaptation strategies essential for building climate-resilient societies. It will emphasise the importance of global collaboration, science-based best practices, and interdisciplinary research in tackling climate challenges.
