TreesSG
TreesSG is the most extensive online interactive tree map in Asia, developed through a collaboration between the National Parks Board (NParks) and the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech). This portal encourages Singaporeans to explore, contribute and learn about our trees located across our island.
To create TreesSG, NParks first collects data via platforms such as the mobile tree inspection (Mobile TI) application, an app that allows our greenery managers to enter data from inspections more easily. All data such as vegetation, biodiversity and leaf area index maps are then consolidated onto a central platform called Maven to process, analyse and gather meaningful insights that are then shared with the public in interesting, engaging ways.

Step 1
Users can locate their favourite tree on the digital map of Singapore. Each tree is marked on the map with detailed geospatial data, including species, age, and health status.

Step 2
Users can also send personalised ‘treemails’, such as notes of appreciation or memories. They can even give a virtual hug!

Step 3
The additional ‘Am I Flowering’ function allows users to track when trees are in full bloom, making it easy to capture and share snapshots of the trees at their most beautiful.

Step 4
Using the different map filters, users are able to identify heritage trees near them and locate Tree Conservation Areas and Heritage Roads in Singapore.

Step 5
Users can also plot the trees they planted during tree planting activities and/or events onto the map for them to search and locate.
