The Pink Mempat blooms seasonally, during which the tree may shed its leaves, replacing its crown with a vivid display of light pink flowers. It is also the preferred food for the Archduke caterpillar (Lexias pardalis dirteana). You can spot its adult form, the Archduke butterfly, fluttering around the Pink Mempat by its pretty pale blue wings!
